Your ResponsibilitiesUnder direction of the Manager, Miami EDC, the Chef will assist with execution of presentations & demonstrations, mise en place, menu development and the organization and cleanliness of the kitchens. Collaboration of the kitchen functions is an essential responsibility of this role.
- Executes professional culinary demonstrations and presentations within the context of Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau appliances’ value propositions with enthusiasm and knowledge of products and culinary artistry.
- Assists in testing and developing recipes; compiles standardized recipes that can be shared with guests and replicated in the field.
- Develops fine dining menus in collaboration with the culinary team and under direction of the Brand and EDC Leadership.
- Continuously develops higher standards of creative and execution of programs and events.
- Maintains a high level of food quality and efficient production output, with the aim of exceeding our guests’ expectations.
- Ensures effective control of quality, quantity and safety of stock purchasing, accounting documentation, waste management, storage, preparation and service.
- May be tasked with ordering for programs.
- Works in conjunction with other culinary team members to ensure consistent smooth running of food production areas within designated areas.
- Operates food production areas to the highest standards.
- Follows local, state, and federal mandated hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ensures the security of all foods, chemicals and equipment by maintaining procedures.
- Trains and develops all culinary staff (whether temporary or employees) on culinary and program standards and expectations.
- Fosters and contributes to a positive team spirit and collaboration mindset at all times.
Daily opening and closing tasks supporting operation of showroom.
Your Profile- Associate degree (Culinary Arts) – Required
- 3–5 Years of Experience (Restaurant, corporate chef, hotel/resort) – Required
- Must have knowledge of and ability to provide basic to moderate culinary presentations to small to large groups.
- Ability to host culinary events.
- Excellent customer service and creates a positive environment.
- Strong understanding of healthy, themed and creative food preparation and menu selection; basic knowledge of kitchen design principals.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, organizational, training and time‑management skills.
- Excellent computer skills and aptitude to learn applications, as needed.
- Team player with the ability to work well with others.
- Be creative and a quick problem‑solver.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Solid attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate good judgment and discretion when exposed to confidential information.
- Must be able to communicate professionally with the culinary team and guests.
Pay range: $79,303 – $105,737. Incentive Plan:
Annual Bonus (target 3%).
