You're Captain of the Kitchen - leading the BOH team through the twists and turns of kitchen operations, including ordering, prep, service, cleaning, and closing. We seek passionate cooks who can both pitch in and delegate tasks effectively.
- Communicate all kitchen issues with management during the shift
- Read and write notes in English in the manager’s daily log
- Attend weekly managers' and monthly staff meetings
- Read the weekly memo
- Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations
- Communicate with all M.O.D. at shift end
- Provide honest reports of all events
- Follow policies, rules, and directions in manuals, memos, and meetings
- Enforce measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, timing, and quality standards
- Attend quarterly supervisor meetings
- Hold a current food management certification
- Demonstrate ownership mentality
- Be flexible with scheduling;
Flanigan’s operates 365 days/year - Willing to transfer geographically as needed
- Work 50-55 hours/week over 5 days, with 2 days off between Monday-Thursday
- Schedule vacations between April and November; must take or forfeit
- Order and manage pars effectively
- Understand and ensure compliance with Florida State health codes
- Conduct timely interviews following Flanigan’s hiring policies
- Issue written evaluations for performance
- Ability to see, speak clearly, listen, taste, and smell
- Read and write in English
- Stand and move for up to 4 hours, with stamina for 50-55 hours/week
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bend, stoop, squat, or crawl as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment with coordination
- Adhere to dress and grooming policies
- Proficient in all kitchen stations, including expo
