Purpose/Position SummarySupport the restaurant by providing leadership and training to the Barista staff, which helps contribute the success by creating and maintaining the Starbucks Experience for our customers.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Adhere to all company policies as they relate to cash handling, standard operations procedures, personal appearance, conduct, and employee/guest relations, and maintain cleanliness of restaurants, including trash removal, dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables, countertops, food prep area, display cases, and restaurant equipment.
- Know and implement the Company’s Customer Service Standards.
- Display a “customer always comes first” attitude by delivering legendary customer service.
- Provide effective coaching to improve individual and team performance.
- Perform restaurant opening duties, including food preparation, stocking and rotating product, and setting up displays.
- Perform restaurant closing duties, including storing product and cleaning restaurant equipment.
- Provide effective training of new Barista’s per Starbucks standards.
- Promote a positive overall team atmosphere that includes cooperation and teamwork, high morale, and positive interpersonal interactions and communications.
- Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Verify register and complete appropriate paperwork at opening and closing.
- Follow procedures for cash, charge, traveler’s checks and voucher sales, and process voids promptly and by procedure.
- Communicate and work with Management to provide strong leadership and to set an example for the team.
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Lead with integrity and honesty, promoting the culture, values and mission of both Concessions International and Starbucks, and demonstrate calmness during high volume or unusual events.
- Actively work to keep your work area clean and safe for customers and coworkers.
- Utilize information from Standard Operations Procedures manuals to adhere to company policies.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by any manager.
Position exercises some judgment daily in administering accounting transactions and in providing information to managers.

Education / Previous
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Availability to work flexible hours and week is required.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, effectively communicate information individually and in small group situations to customers and co‑workers, and understand written and verbal English.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle objects, talk or hear, close vision; continuous standing (100%), walking (50%), lifting and carrying (0‑60 lb.), reaching, pushing and pulling (0‑60 lb.), stooping, bending, crouching.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions. Knowledgeable of workplace safety and procedures.
