Barista

About This Role

We are looking for a barista who is passionate about serving great coffee and creating a welcoming space for our customers. At Honey Veil Café, you will be part of a team that takes pride in handcrafted drinks, fresh pastries, and genuine hospitality. If you are reliable, have strong customer service instincts, and are excited to learn the craft of coffee, we want to meet you.

Honey Veil is a café and bakery concept built on quality ingredients, thoughtful service, and community. We are committed to creating spaces where customers feel  menu features carefully sourced matcha and coffee, made-from-scratch pastries, and seasonal specials developed by our in-house team.

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, specialty coffees, and other beverages following our recipes and standards
• Take customer orders, ring up transactions, and process payments using our POS system
• Assist with food service, including preparing orders, packaging items, and handling customer inquiries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout your shift
• Build genuine connections with customers and help create a welcoming café atmosphere
• Collaborate with team members to meet rush hour demands and ensure smooth operations

Required:

• Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help people
• Reliability and punctuality – we count on you to show up ready to work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask during busy periods
• Willingness to learn coffee preparation techniques and follow recipes consistently
• Basic math skills for handling cash and running a register
• Comfortable on your feet for your entire shift

Preferred:

• Prior barista or food service experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
• Experience working in a café or restaurant environment
• Food handler card or willingness to obtain one
