Customer Service Associate – Walgreens
Join us as a Customer Service Associate and help deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $17.50/hr
. Final compensation depends on experience, skills and geography.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, identifying needs, serving until satisfied, etc.
- Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to all customers.
- Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items.
- Process cash, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
- Maintain clean, merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and keep accurate records.
- Price merchandise as required or directed by the store manager or shift leader.
- Implement asset‑protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol and tobacco).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with food separation, product placement, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Use store systems and equipment efficiently.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo, poster print, and creative machine.
- Assume web‑pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver to customers).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to keep the store clean and orderly.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete required PPLs assigned by the manager or corporate.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
