KAM – Mainstream Retail

CBI International is looking for a National Key Account Manager – Mainstream Retail to drive the growth of our Hispanic brands across national and regional mainstream grocery retailers in the U.S.

This role will focus on building strategic customer relationships, expanding distribution, and identifying new business opportunities to deliver profitable and sustainable growth.

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to enter and grow CBI’s brands within major U.S. mainstream retail accounts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with national and regional retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, H-E-B, Publix, and other key grocery chains

• Build and strengthen relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and key decision-makers to secure new listings and expand distribution.
• Lead negotiations related to new item authorization, assortment, pricing, promotions, trade investment, and commercial terms.
• Develop account plans and growth strategies to increase distribution, shelf presence, velocity, and overall sales performance.
• Leverage consumer insights, category trends, POS and market data to build compelling business cases and retailer proposals.
• Partner with KeHE, UNFI, and other strategic distributors to support retailer expansion and route-to-market execution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams to ensure successful launches and sustainable growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of Key Account Management or National Accounts experience within the CPG / Food & Beverage industry

• Experience managing national or regional mainstream grocery retail accounts.
• Essential Requirement: Direct experience managing mainstream grocery retail accounts such as Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, H-E-B, Publix
  , or similar accounts.
• Experience working with distributors such as KeHE, UNFI
  , or similar partners.
• Strong retail sales, negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish
