Temporary FIU ASAS Security Monitor

The Community Engagement Department seeks a temporary security monitor to protect school board property and maintain a safe learning environment.

• Follow emergency procedures as directed.
• Listen to all radio communications.
• Report directly to program manager after delegations.
• Remain on post at all times unless responding to a necessary call for service.
• Assist program manager with dismissal procedures, including buses.
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, neatness, and prescribed uniform.
• Identify students violating The Code of Student Conduct.
• Follow all instructions from the program manager.
• Request assistance immediately if faced with dangerous situations.
• Assist staff, students, and visitors as needed.
• Recognize and report safety hazards or suspicious activity.
• Report violations of school board rules, law violations, medical emergencies, trespassing, fire or smoke, and any unsafe conditions.
• Periodically patrol assigned area.
• Observe departing personnel to guard against theft and report damage or unusual occurrences.

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• Must be current Miami‑Dade County Public School security officer or school employee.

• 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (School Board hours)

$15.00 per hour
