What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and critical events.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the location to help deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and licensing requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement military or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
