Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Certified in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a government location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor for any unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management as required.
- Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as needed.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident and activity reports according to site requirements.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with the public, employees, and visitors at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
