Job Description

As a Security Officer - Front Desk - Weekends in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and tenants while helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attentiveness.

You will provide outstanding customer service, manage access control, and respond to inquiries, all while upholding the values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in a dynamic office environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and managing visitor sign‑in and/or sign‑out processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting relevant details as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities based on site protocols and instructions from Allied Universal management.
  • Communicate professionally with building staff, tenants, and/or visitors to address inquiries or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions at the front desk area to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
