Responsibilities

The Miami HEAT and the Kaseya Center are hiring for Courtside Security Officers! The main function of this position is to assist in the handling of any security-related disturbances or problems that might arise during Courtside Club activations, during events, or at the facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events or at the facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individuals to security office and/or off the premises.
  • Write incident reports and meet with security supervisor to review procedures.
  • Inspect alarms and fire extinguisher/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate. Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Tour facility examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside the premises.
  • Control unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
  • Answer alarms and investigates disturbances.
  • Assist guests with any security related issues.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Assist security division with special projects.
  • Ensure that Courtside Club and Kaseya Center policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge with all matters outlined in the Courtside Club Safety and Security Standard Operating Procedures and the Kaseya Center Emergency Operations Manual.
  • Exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Attend all training and meetings scheduled by the Kaseya Center Director of Security or the Courtside Club General Manager.
