Security Guard - Class D

The Security Guard – Class D role at KS Services is a full-time & parttime, on-site position based in Miami, FL. The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring entrances and exits, and responding to security incidents according to company procedures. Daily tasks include verifying identification and access credentials, observing surveillance systems, documenting activities and incidents, and reporting concerns to supervisors or law enforcement when needed.

The role also involves providing courteous customer service to residents, tenants, visitors, and staff, including answering questions, giving directions, and assisting during emergencies. The Security Guard will work closely with other security and site management team members to uphold KS standards of professionalism, accountability, and safety.

• Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to interact professionally with residents, tenants, visitors, and team members.
• Candidates should possess Physical Security and Private Security skills to patrol premises, control access points, and respond effectively to safety incidents.
• Candidates should possess Personnel Security awareness to protect individuals on site, follow security protocols, and support incident prevention and response.
• Valid Florida Class D Security License (or ability to obtain), and eligibility to work on-site in Miami, FL.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods, including occasional lifting and climbing stairs.
• Strong observation, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, military, or customer-facing experience is beneficial.

KS Services is hiring licensed Security Guards for gatehouse, rover, and site posts. Class D license and 1 year of experience required.

- Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour (varies by post)

Duties include monitoring for theft and unauthorized access, controlling vehicle and visitor entry, s, patrols and checkpoint scans, monitoring security systems, and writing incident reports.
