ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will work in the National Accounts department within M.C. Dean. Responsibilities include electrical lighting maintenance such as changing bulbs, ballasts, and drivers on existing lighting fixtures. The role involves working from aerial lifts and directly interfacing with customers. You will be dispatched daily to customer sites, resolving lighting issues professionally and safely. All site documentation must be completed electronically, requiring familiarity with current smartphone/tablet technology.
Candidates must demonstrate strong moral character, professionalism, and a focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic lighting components.
- Installing and mounting lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
- Safe operation of aerial lifts and bucket trucks.
- Testing lighting systems and circuit continuity using testing devices.
- Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and manuals to determine materials and procedures.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning lighting systems with test equipment and hand tools.
- Reading contract drawings.
- Troubleshooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Lift/Aerial Training).
- Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at once and 60 pounds for extended periods.
- Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder unaided.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, lifts, and ladders.
- Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching routinely.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English.
- Use of ladders and tools within weight limits.
- Recognize potential problems without necessarily solving them.
- Apply rules to specific problems logically.
- Integrate information to form general conclusions.
- Close-range detail observation.
- Effective listening and comprehension of spoken information.
