Lounge Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment in our lounges, including but not limited to sound systems, lighting systems, and video equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all equipment is set up and functioning properly for events and activities.
• Keep inventory of all equipment and supplies and order replacements as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to make recommendations for equipment upgrades.
• Train and supervise junior technicians and provide guidance and support as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in audiovisual technology preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, lighting systems, and video equipment.
• Familiarity with various software and systems used in audiovisual technology.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
