About This RoleWe are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in HVAC controls, system integration, and energy management, with hands‑on experience troubleshooting, programming, and maintaining BAS systems. This role is critical to ensuring optimal performance of our customers’ building systems through responsive service, reliable maintenance, and advanced technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on BAS and HVAC control systems.
- Modify, upgrade, and commission control programs in Distech and Tridium Niagara environments.
- Conduct system performance analysis and identify opportunities for optimization and energy savings.
- Provide technical support to clients and assist in resolving complex control and network communication issues.
- Calibrate and configure controllers, sensors, and field devices for optimal operation.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure seamless transition from installation to service.
- Maintain detailed service logs, documentation, and system backups.
- Support remote monitoring, diagnostics, and system analytics platforms.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency service requests.
- Promote safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction in every aspect of the job.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, BACnet, Modbus, and Lon Works communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Knowledge of IP‑based networks, control system architecture, and field integration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service orientation.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Niagara N4 Certification or Distech Controls Certification.
- Experience with lighting control systems, energy dashboards, or IoT integrations.
- Basic programming or scripting ability (e.g., Restful APIs, GFX, BQL, PX, or GCL).
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.
