UGE Laborer/Groundman – The role supports the crew by assisting with the installation and repair of underground power lines. Duties include gathering materials, operating relevant equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Gather materials for the job and ensure the crew has everything needed.
• Distribute material at the job site safely.
• Assist with all tasks required to complete the job.
• Operate construction equipment safely (e.g., rubber‑tired backhoe, skid‑steer loader, directional drill, trencher, mini excavators).
• Perform any other duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in utilities or construction.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred

• Two or more years of experience in the construction and/or utility industry.
• CDL Class A license.

The job requires extensive physical activity, including bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and operating in all weather conditions. Vision and hand‑eye coordination are essential.
