Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Pool
Overview
We are seeking potential candidates for future Athletic Department vacancies with expertise in the Strength and Conditioning field.
Responsibilities- Enhance the physical and mental development of student-athletes through the establishment of specific training programs and activities to increase performance in practice and competition. Ensure proper techniques and design training strategies for injury avoidance and improved performance.
- Create and implement sport-specific programs that intensify strength, speed, and cardiovascular conditioning.
- Instruct, educate and supervise student-athletes regarding proper weight training techniques.
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of the Athletics weight room and enforce safety procedures.
- Attend athletic events as requested and feasible.
- Assist with developing and coordinating schedules of student-athletes in the weight room.
- Consult with athletic training staff to determine participation status of injured student-athletes and collaborate on rehabilitation programs.
- Monitor progress of student-athletes with verifiable records and maintain written documentation.
- Assist with developing and implementing policies affecting the strength and conditioning program.
- Maintain communication with departmental staff, coaches and medical staff.
- Utilize vehicles to transport students and recruits as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical, academic and personal data of student-athletes and information impacting the University and Athletic Department.
- Adhere to State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA and department rules and policies; report NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and monitor related duties of subordinates.
- Other related tasks as required by the Director of Strength & Conditioning, Head Coach or Sr Associate Athletic Director.
- Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant experience.
- One of the following National Strength and Conditioning
Certifications:
CSCS, SCCC, or CSC.
