Contract Term: 10-month / Part-Time

Albizu University Miami Campus is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Softball Coach to lead the launch of its Women’s Softball program as part of the institution’s expanding NAIA Pathway Athletics initiative. The Head Coach will be responsible for recruiting and developing student-athletes, implementing a competitive softball program, and fostering an environment that promotes academic excellence, sportsmanship, and community engagement.
Responsibilities- Establish and manage all phases of the women’s softball program in alignment with Albizu University’s athletic vision and NAIA standards.
- Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who meet both academic and athletic requirements.
- Develop structured practice plans and competitive game strategies.
- Manage scheduling of practices, games, and travel in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
- Ensure compliance with Albizu University, NAIA, and conference regulations.
- Coordinate equipment and uniform orders, field maintenance schedules, and athletic facility use.
- Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
- Promote team culture, leadership, and positive academic progress among players.
- Engage with the local community, alumni, and sponsors to build support for the program.
- Oversee budget management, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach.
- Minimum of 2 years of softball coaching experience at college, high school, or club level.
- Strong understanding of NAIA or NCAA softball rules and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain before starting date).
- Collegiate level playing or coaching experience.
- Experience with recruiting databases and compliance platforms.
- Demonstrated success in program building or team development.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred.
