Overview
Temporary STP‑E 2026 Equipment Manager at Florida International University (FIU).
Responsibilities- Maintain recreational storage areas, organize shelves and cabinets.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Monitor condition of equipment, recommend repairs or replacement of worn items.
- Research appropriate sports training equipment for purchase and assist with ordering.
- Assist with setup and take‑down of temporary equipment (soccer goals, team benches).
- Assemble equipment such as wagons, soccer rebounders.
- Measure, mark, and paint lines for soccer and baseball fields; monitor and maintain lines during program.
- Set up, monitor, and replenish water coolers for children and staff during recreational activities.
- Inspect fields and courts for hazards (broken glass, ant hills, large rocks); take appropriate action to fix problems.
- Remove debris/trash (e.g., empty water bottles, tree branches) from courts and fields and transport debris to dumpster.
- Consult program counselors regarding age‑appropriate sports skill drills and equipment use.
- Assist counselors with incorporating sports equipment into daily skill drills.
- Record and photograph recreational games and skill drills for staff feedback sessions.
- Assist with access to video data and perform daily transfer and backup video data.
- Coordinate tasks with office staff and school janitorial staff as needed.
- Assist with setting up, monitoring, and taking down equipment used during Fun Friday activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED (Minimum Qualification).
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- Knowledge of basketball, soccer, and softball/baseball.
- Ability to follow written directions for assembling and maintaining sports equipment.
- Current enrollment in college/university.
- Knowledge of basketball, soccer, and softball/baseball equipment and appropriate use and maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety procedures required in setting up and using equipment.

Work Schedule
:
Monday‑Friday; part‑time morning shifts (7:00 AM‑1:00 PM) and afternoon shifts (12:00 PM‑6:00 PM).
Advertised Salary
: $15.00 per hour
