Campus Recreation is seeking qualified and experienced personal trainers to join our fitness team. Candidates must hold a current, nationally accredited certification and demonstrate a strong commitment to helping clients/members achieve their health and wellness goals. The personal training program emphasizes professionalism, evidence-based practices, and a supportive training environment. Responsibilities include developing personalized fitness programs, conducting assessments, and providing ongoing guidance and motivation to clients.

Duties

Include
  • Conduct individualized fitness assessments to evaluate client needs and goals.
  • Design and implement safe, effective, and personalized training programs for individuals and small groups (30 to 60 minutes).
  • Adapt workouts during sessions to accommodate clients' abilities, limitations, or needs.
  • Instruct clients on proper exercise techniques, equipment usage, and safety principles.
  • Provide ongoing motivation, supervision, and support throughout training sessions.
  • Track client progress and maintain accurate session records.
  • Promote personal training services through our Campus Rec Team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment on the fitness floor.
  • Stay current with industry standards by completing required certifications and continuing education.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and workshops as scheduled.
  • Identify potential hazards, implement risk-reduction strategies, and respond appropriately to injuries or emergencies to ensure client safety.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to privacy protocols.
  • Perform additional duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid nationally accredited personal training certification (NASM, AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NCSF, NSCA, NETA) or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/ AED/ First Aid certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).

Work Schedule:

Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, based on client and facility needs.

Advertised Salary: $18.00/hour to $35.00/hour.
