Contract Term: Part-Time
Annual Coaching Stipend: $10,000
Albizu University is seeking a motivated and experienced Athletic Director to lead the development, implementation, and growth of its intercollegiate athletics program at the Miami Campus. This role provides strategic oversight of athletic operations, compliance, recruitment, and program development in alignment with NAIA standards and Albizu University’s mission. The Athletic Director plays a key leadership role in advancing athletic initiatives while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes academic success, student-athlete development, and institutional growth.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for Albizu University’s intercollegiate athletics program.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive athletics plan aligned with NAIA Pathway to Membership requirements.
- Assess feasibility and support the expansion of current and future athletic programs.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff.
- Oversee student-athlete recruitment, eligibility, retention, and academic progress.
- Ensure compliance with NAIA regulations, institutional policies, and applicable federal and state requirements.
- Manage athletic operations, including scheduling, facilities coordination, equipment, and budget oversight.
- Promote athletics programs and events and build partnerships with local organizations and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with academic leadership and student services to support student-athlete success.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or Associate’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience in Sports Management, Education, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in athletic administration at the collegiate, academy, or competitive club level.
- Knowledge of NAIA rules and the NAIA Pathway to Membership process.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
