This position is Full‑Time and requires the staff to work onsite, as it is not a remote job.
Job SummaryThe role focuses on the coordination and facilitation of import/export operations, ensuring effective customer service, and handling client interactions with professionalism. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our logistics operations, directly impacting our success and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage all aspects of import and export shipments.
- Handle booking requests and communicate with clients and carriers to ensure smooth operation.
- Provide outstanding customer service by resolving issues and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Participate in problem‑solving for any operational delays or issues that arise.
- Proactively manage freight forwarding by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in the supply chain and suggest innovative solutions.
- Prepare and analyze freight costs, understanding and negotiating the best possible rates.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports regarding shipping operations.
- Engage in regular communication with international and domestic partners.
- Understand and utilize industry specific software for daily tasks and communication.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on experience in freight forwarding or as part of an NVOCC company.
- Deep knowledge of international logistics, including ocean carrier pricing, shipping protocols, and terminologies.
- Strong proficiency with computer systems, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Prior technical training in freight forwarding, customs regulations, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, capable of delivering clear and concise messages both written and verbally.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, capable of making decisions under pressure and motivating the team for peak performance.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of multitasking in a high‑pressure environment.
- Must demonstrate impeccable work ethics including responsibility, confidentiality, honesty, and loyalty.
