Courier​/Swing Drvr​/DOT

Position: Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-4

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; check shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; offer related customer service functions; perform other duties as assigned.

Monday‑Friday Full‑Time

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Conditions

Neat appearance required for customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.

Note:

Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for the vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
