Plant Accountant

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Plant Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support the plant's operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and the ability to interpret financial reports effectively in a manufacturing environment.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurately reflected.
• Analyze financial reports and provide interpretations to management for informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts that align with operational goals.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency.

• 2 year degree with a 4 year degree highly preferred
• Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Strong Excel experience
• GAAP experience
• Experience with accounts receivable management and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial reports clearly and provide actionable insights.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and public accounting practices is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
