This position exists to provide accounting and clerical assistance to the company through accurate preparation and maintenance of accounting documents and reports and works on-site at our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters. Responsibilities of this position include operating accounting software to process business transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. Additional tasks may include maintaining up-to-date financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate profiles for customers and vendors within accounting software, creating new as needed.
  • Pay vendor invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Create and send customer invoices by verifying transaction information and charges.
  • Receive and process customer payments via check, credit card, and electronic transfer.
  • Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, and making adjustments.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements promptly.
  • Create financial reports and summaries for management.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Provide data entry and report creation assistance for operations departments as needed and assigned.
  • Serve as primary backup support to the administrative assistant position as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
Education And Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of proven accounting experience.
  • An associate’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred; experience is considered in lieu of.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
  • Experience with Quick Books Online.
  • Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
