We are looking to fill the role of a Fall Protection Construction Manager to work for our Safety practice. The Fall Protection Construction Manager is responsible for managing, scheduling, and coordinating the process and work of employees who install LJB Fall Protection projects.
Annual Compensation: $95,000 – 135,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Fall Protection Construction Manager Essential Functions- Participate in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, LJB project managers and design staff.
- Plan, coordinate, organize, oversee, direct, and participate in activities regarding installation of fall protection systems.
- Work with project managers to estimate construction labor and material costs for opportunities and proposals.
- Collaborate with design professionals, project managers, client representatives, etc. to advise on constructability of a project.
- Use construction drawings to determine the tools, materials and processes required to complete the installation.
- Procure materials and equipment necessary for projects.
- Oversee and sometimes participate at the project/work site with our team of employees, ensuring safety standards are followed and quality work is being performed in a timely manner.
- This will require being available during project hours that can vary due to client requests (weekends, 3rd shift, etc.).
- Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues.
- Possess a clear understanding and ability to interpret engineering, architecture, and other construction drawings with the ability to communicate the drawings to others.
- Manage and lead actions necessary to respond to unforeseen conditions, disruptions, bad weather, supply issues, etc. to ensure successful and timely project completion.
- Ability to travel as needed (overnight stays based on supported projects) to various US-based locations.
- Understanding of construction trades and installation of proprietary fall protection systems.
- Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
- Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.
- Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to work efficiently on multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
- Associate Safety Professional Certification (CSP preferred) or obtainable within two years.
- SPRAT/IRATA certifications preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience required in construction activities, specifically with steel and concrete.
- 5 years of supervisory experience in construction trade required.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings.
- Understanding/Training in OSHA/ANSI fall protection standards.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug tests and MVR check.
- Proficient with operation of aerial lifts.
- Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to perform duties.
- Must be able to meet the weight capacity of design perimeters of fall protection systems (between 130 to 310 lbs.).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Understands the exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
