Position: Customer Success Engineer – Precision
Position SummaryThe Customer Success Engineer (CSE) will serve as the primary technical liaison for a defined portfolio of key accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring successful implementation, integration, and ongoing performance of DRT’s solutions within customer operations. The CSE will support pricing, forecasting, and strategic initiatives, while also driving technical problem‑solving, continuous improvement, and innovation in collaboration with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Account Technical Management:
Develop and execute technical account strategies aligned with customer goals and DRT’s business objectives. - Build and maintain strong relationships across customer engineering, operations, and procurement teams.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering and operational plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for field issues or product performance concerns.
- Plan and execute technical trials and validation of new parts or process changes.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to channel customer feedback into product development and innovation pipelines.
- Identify and scope new business opportunities based on technical fit and customer needs.
- Provide accurate pricing inputs, demand forecasts, and technical documentation to support commercial planning.
- Log all customer interactions, service reports, and competitive intelligence in the CRM system within 24–48 hours.
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to customer satisfaction, issue resolution, and project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and DRT policies during all customer interactions and site visits.
- Submit expense reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a disciplined schedule of proactive customer engagement and site visits.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to align on customer deliverables and timelines.
- Provide technical input to support strategic planning and P&L performance.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) and 5+ years related experience in precision machining, either at plant or corporate level; or a combination of both.
