Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking experienced construction materials testers to join a dynamic civil engineering firm. As a Technician, you will conduct testing on concrete, soils, asphalt, and reinforcing steels for construction-related projects. While some travel is required, the majority of projects are located in the Dayton/Cincinnati areas. The daily and weekly schedule will vary based on workload, weather, and other factors, and you may occasionally work weekends as needed.
Responsibilities- Perform tests and observations in the field on concrete, soil, reinforcing steel, and asphalt.
- Document and report test results daily.
- Assist in the lab as needed.
- Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer with status updates or about non-conforming issues.
- Minimum of 2 years of construction materials testing experience required.
- ACI certification required; must be able to perform concrete testing independently from day one.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to work a varying schedule depending on workload, weather, and other factors.
- Willingness to work outdoors in the elements year-round.
The majority of work will be performed in the field on construction sites. Travel is required, but most is local to the Dayton/Cincinnati area. The role involves working outdoors throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions.
Workplace TypeThis is a Contract position based out of Miamisburg, Ohio. This is a fully onsite position in Miamisburg, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $28.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
