We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join our growing team in Dayton or Cleveland, Ohio
. This is a full‑time opportunity designed for a recent graduate or early‑career professional who is excited to launch their engineering career in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Pay: $65,000 - $85,000/year based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

• Technical engineering responsibilities may include:
  • Traffic impact studies
  • Traffic operations analyses
  • Safety studies
  • Signal system design
  • Signal timing plans
  • Maintenance of traffic
  • Pavement markings and signage
  • Highway lighting design
  • Corridor studies
• Assist in the preparation of traffic engineering designs and plans for transportation projects.
• Stay up to date on transportation engineering guidelines, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in project designs.
• Ability to work in a team setting collaboratively with a group of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers.
• Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution.

• Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
• Ability to react quickly and calmly to high‑pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reporting findings.
• Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Credentials:

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferred: EIT Certification

• Required:
  
  1-3 years’ experience.
• Required:
  
  Experience with Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, SIDRA, Trans Modeler, VISSIM, AutoCAD/Micro Station/Geopak/Open Roads Designer, and Microsoft Office.
• Required:
  
  Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and Congestion Management Guidelines.
• Preferred:
  
  Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (Trans
  
  CAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD.
