Physical Therapy Assistant; PTA

Overview

Kingston of Miamisburg is seeking a caring and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and respiratory care team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you’ll work directly with residents to restore mobility, build strength, and improve independence in a collaborative, patient-centered environment in Miamisburg, Ohio. This position is Full-Time or Part-Time, on-site, and requires an Ohio PTA license.

• Deliver therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehab activities
• Document progress accurately and provide updates to the Physical Therapist
• Educate residents and families on safe movement and at-home exercise programs
• Support residents recovering from surgery, illness, or complex respiratory conditions
• Create a motivating, positive therapy environment that promotes healing and confidence
• Ensure therapy services comply with Ohio state regulations and Kingston’s standards of care

• Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, long-term care, or respiratory care preferred (new grads welcome)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
