The position is responsible for operating thermal and inkjet printers that consist of small and large scale custom printing, encoding and finishing of labels and tags. This position requires a very detail-oriented individual that is self-motivated and able to produce orders in a very fast paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities- Works directly with the Service Bureau Supervisor on all order activity to ensure all products are delivered in a productive, timely manner in order to achieve internal/external customer requirements and satisfaction.
- Responsible for setting up and operating jobs on thermal and inkjet printers.
- Orders material for jobs.
- Works with the appropriate resources and assists with planning to ensure a continual flow of work and to achieve defined goals and objectives.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in related field preferred
- PC skills (Google, Excel, Word, Oracle, Loftware, PC Mate etc.)
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills
- Independent self-starter who works with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of RFID printer and supplies technology
- Knowledge of Inkjet printer technology (Astro Nova, Muhlbauer PL Light)
- Knowledge of Monarch thermal printers
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hrs a day
- Proficiency in performing basic math calculations including decimals and percentages
- Good vision, including color
- Eye-Hand coordination and dexterity
- Mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in the use of overlay gauges, reading shop scales and other measurement tools
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and lift up to 30lbs overhead
- The ability to learn and/or demonstrate the use and application of ELS principles and techniques within 30 days after completing formal job training
