Grounds - Canterbury Michigan

Full-time Groundskeeper | $20/hr | Paid Weekly

Join our team at Canterbury Houseарх in Michigan City! Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, assist with snow removal and light maintenance, and keep the community looking its best. $200 boot stipend included.

Make sure the grounds are free of trash. Clean and sweep up trash and handle or assist with trash‑outs of units.

• Pick up trash on grounds
• Clean out hallways
• Snow removal
• Trash‑outs of vacated units including but not limited to removal of debris, furniture, and appliances, painting and minor repair work
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions, simple correspondence and present information one‑on‑one or in small groups
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide by 10s & 100s
• Abilityमु to carry out detailed, but uncomplicated written or oral instructions with common‑sense understanding and deal with problems that involve few variables in standard situations
• Beginner computer skills

• Regularly must stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or bend
• Regularly must lift up to 25 pounds

Normally works in an environment with moderate noise.

• Will be working outdoors year‑round
• Regularly must work in outdoor weather conditions
• Occasionally must work in conditions that are wet or humid, extremely cold or extremely hot (non‑weather), near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles
• Rarely must work in high, precarious places, near toxic or caustic chemicals, with risk of electrical shock, with vibration
• No risk of radiation or working with explosives
