This is a one‑site position in Clarkston, MI. Allen & Associates Consulting Services, LLC is seeking a motivated Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper to join our team in Clarkston, MI. As a Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper with us, you will have the chance to work with an experienced team of professionals and gain valuable experience in the field of accounting.
Daily Responsibilities- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely using Quick Books Desktop Software
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
- Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations and laws
- Assist with monthly bookkeeping activities for clients using QB Desktop or QB Online
- Reconcile client accounts
- Experience with journal entries and financial statements
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with multi‑state payroll and tax compliance
- Strong understanding of balance sheets and reconciliations
- Proficiency in QBO and QBD accounting software
- Quick Books Pro Advisor (Strongly Preferred)
- Experience with non‑profit or governmental accounting
- Familiarity with payroll taxes and year‑end closing processes
- Ability to perform general ledger and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of accruals and balance sheet reconciliation
