Job Summary:

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Analyst / Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities within its Finance Department. This role is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. The position works closely with the Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable team, and Accounts Payable team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the organization.

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation for month-end close activities
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely
• Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Prepare detailed variance analyses and provide financial insights to support decision-making
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile cash accounts and monitor cash flow activity
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes through financial analysis and collaboration with operational departments
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and standard operating procedures
• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Participate in financial systems enhancements and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with ERP implementation efforts, including testing, reporting improvements, and workflow optimization
• Collaborate with Finance leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives
• Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned

• Schedule:
  
  Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Pay: $70,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Two or more years of accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• Experience working with ERP or accounting software systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

• CPA certification or CPA eligibility
• Public accounting or audit experience
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience
• Experience with Power BI, automation tools, or data analytics platforms
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
