Accounts Receivable/ Collections, Accounting Assistant
Are you an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and providing exceptional service? Join our team as a Staff Accountant and play a key role in supporting our projects, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
What You'll Do:- Manage the day-to-day billing process, including preparing invoices for approval and coding, and ensuring invoices are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
- Upload and maintain invoices and supporting documentation in customer portals and other required systems
- Process subcontractor payments, including pending payments, waivers, and payment documentation
- Support accounts receivable collections and respond to supplier payment inquiries
- Complete project closeout items, including retention releases, waivers, warranties, etc.
- Assist with maintenance of vendor database, including collection of W-9 forms
- Complete month-end and year-end procedures timely and accurately
- Proficient in Excel and Crystal Report Writing
- Knowledge of Viewpoint is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Self-motivated and strong ability to follow through
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience working in accounting or a related field; construction experience is a plus
