Gratiot County Commission on Aging is seeking a full-time Service Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in case management, resource allocation, administrative support, and compliance monitoring. This position offers an opportunity for growth while directly contributing to the well-being of our senior community.
Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Assist with intake and case management, ensuring that clients receive the appropriate resources for their individual needs in a timely and effective manner.
- Resource Coordination: Direct both single and multiple needs requests to the relevant services and community partners. Ensure efficient resolution and follow-up on all cases.
- Administrative Support: Provide support to the Executive Director and In-Home Services Supervisor, including document preparation, correspondence, and scheduling.
- File Maintenance: Maintain organized and accurate client files, records, and documentation related to services provided.
- Policy Review & Compliance: Regularly review policies and ensure compliance with all funding agencies and county requirements. Assist with implementing changes as necessary.
- Asset and Key Management: Schedule and maintain records for fixed assets, ramp parts, and building keys to ensure proper tracking and maintenance.
- General Office Duties: Perform various office tasks as needed, including answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting with day-to-day operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in case management, administrative support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of local resources and services for seniors is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment.
- Starting hourly rate: $16.71 per hour.
- Full-time position with benefits including health insurance and MERS Defined Contribution with employer matching contribution, health care savings account and more.
