Lakeshore Tire & Auto Service is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Charlevoix, MI, offering $22–$35/hour based on experience. This Monday–Friday position has no weekends and includes a variety of automotive diagnostic, maintenance, and mechanical repair work. Technicians work on a range of makes and models in a small, collaborative independent shop environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform automotive repair and maintenance on a variety of makes and models
- Diagnose vehicle concerns and complete needed repairs
- Perform brake and suspension repairs and general automotive maintenance
- Complete diagnostic and mechanical repair work efficiently
- Maintain quality workmanship throughout assigned repairs
- Collaborate with other team members to support shop workflow
- Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience in an independent repair shop
- Experience performing general automotive repair and maintenance
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- Willingness to obtain ASE Certifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of responsibilities in a smaller shop environment
- $22–$35/hour based on experience
