Playcare Attendant

Overview

As a Playcare Attendant you are responsible for supervising and interacting with children from ages 3 months to 12 years old.

The Playcare Attendant's typical job functions include:

• Helping plan and prepare materials for activities, implementing activities for the children, and attentively watching and attending to the children ages 3 months to 12 years
• Implementing curriculum; reading to children, and teaching them simple painting, drawing, handcrafts, and songs
• Providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use for imaginative play
• Organizing and participating in recreational activities, such as games
• Organizing and storing toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas
• Maintaining a clean, safe and fun child care environment
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines.
• Enforcing all administration policies and rules governing students
• Ensuring safe play conditions and follows established security procedures

This position may be for you if:

• You are over 18 years old
• You have achieved a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
• You have experience working with children ages 3 months to 12 years
• You possess strong public relations skills and excellent communications skills
• You have the ability to work well with children ages 3 months to 12 years and display patiences
• You have the ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances
• You are able to frequently walk, stand, sit, talk and lift often as the job requires
• You are able to able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
