BCTV Production Assistants (Part-Time)
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Production Assistant will attend productions and record shows to air on BCTV. They will gain knowledge and experience in television production, directing, running a camera, generating graphics, operating audio and editing programs to air on BCTV. This is an entry-level position for an individual who intends to pursue a career in film or television.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production, direction, and editing of programs to air on BCTV
- Train and supervise volunteers
- Be a team player
- Develop ideas and script programs
- Any other duties assigned by the Assistant Station Manager or Production Manager
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Clean driving record
- Experience working at a television access center (ideal candidate would be a college student studying Film or Television Productions)
- Outgoing, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who likes working with others
- Must be able to stand for 2 hours and lift over 25 lbs.
Note Applicant must be fingerprinted before working in a public school
Wage $15.00/hour
