Talascend is currently seeking an After Sales Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
.

Overview

This role involves becoming the go-to contact for customers after sales are closed, ensuring their needs are met with empathy, accuracy, and urgency.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary customer contact after sales are closed
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve issues and provide updates
  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Shipping, Quality, and AR departments to support customer needs
  • Accurately process and enter orders into Salesforce within 24 hours
  • Use customer portals to manage purchase orders and order changes
  • Confirm ship dates and ensure timely delivery coordination
  • Maintain customer files, update pricing, and handle invoicing
  • Manage EDI releases and ensure all data matches customer documentation
  • Respond to requests such as lot certifications, Bills of Lading, and packing slips
  • Handle re-quotes and major order changes in partnership with Account Managers
  • Contribute to internal operations by consistently improving processes and communication
Qualifications
  • Experience with Customer Portals (EDI) (required)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Plex (preferred but not required)
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, empathetic, and personable with all customers
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal departments
  • Attention to detail and commitment to minimizing errors
  • A proactive approach to improving customer service workflows
Shift

Full-time, expected hours: 40 per week
