As a Lift Operator you play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of lift operations at the resort. This position involves operating ski lifts, assisting guests, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is attentive, safety‑conscious, and enjoys working in an outdoor environment.

Responsibilities
  • Promote and exemplify Boyne Resorts L.E.A.D.S. core values, contributing to a culture of positivity, productivity, and professionalism.
  • Lift Operation:
    Operate ski lifts and other conveyance systems, ensuring smooth and safe transport of guests; keep corral and terminal areas clean and orderly; perform snow maintenance on ramps and other areas as needed.
  • Guest Assistance:
    Help guests load and unload from lifts, provide instructions for safe riding, and offer general assistance.
  • Safety Monitoring:
    Assist with daily lift inspections, enforce safety protocols, check lift tickets, ensure proper use of safety bars, and manage lift lines.
  • Communication:
    Maintain clear and professional communication with guests and team members, including lift operations team and ski patrol.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Conduct regular inspections and minor maintenance on lift equipment, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Weather Monitoring:
    Stay informed about current weather conditions and adjust lift operations accordingly.
  • Emergency Response:
    Act quickly and effectively in case of an emergency, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Customer Service:
    Provide exceptional customer service, offering information about the resort, answering guest questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with other lift operators, ski patrol, and mountain operations staff to ensure smooth operations across the resort.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Enjoy working outside in various weather conditions.
  • Enjoy a customer‑service position helping and interacting with guests.
