Join Our Team as a Locum Physician in Emergency Medicine Grand Ledge, MI

Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in a vibrant community? McLaren Grand Ledge invites qualified physicians to provide exceptional care in a dynamic emergency department that handles approximately 15,000 visits annually. This position offers flexible, varied shifts with a focus on delivering top-tier healthcare services to diverse patient populations.

In this vital role, you will cover both 12-hour shifts and potentially 24-hour coverage, supporting a team committed to patient safety and excellence. The ED handles an expanding patient volume, starting at around 20 patients per day in the first six months and increasing to approximately 40 daily by year s end. The facility features 24/7 radiology services including CT and X-ray, alongside full lab services.

Surgical procedures are performed at a nearby Lansing location, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Required Skills:

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years emergency department experience
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience in rural or community hospital settings
• Basic knowledge of electronic medical records systems
• BLS certification

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Prior experience in emergency medicine within the last 3 years
• Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently

Other Requirements:

• Immunization records (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu vaccination, COVID documentation, TB test, TDAP) for occupational health clearance
• Ability to clock in and out via Doc Time (no timesheets)
• Coverage of malpractice insurance included in hourly rate
• Orientation and training paid at half the hourly rate
• Hourly rate: $400/hour (covering orientation and shift hours)
• Travel and lodging arrangements are subject to the provider s adherence to policies; no third-party bookings or reimbursements for taxes
