Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine Bay , MI

Overview

McLaren Medical Group - Bay Region seeks a Locum Emergency Medicine physician. This assignment is strictly onsite. There is no call associated with Emergency Medicine. Shift times are: 0600 - 1600, 0900 - 2100, 1400 - 0000, 2000 - 0600.

  Skills:
  
  Adult Outpatient, Pediatric-General Outpatient, Newborn resuscitation, Orthopedic-Non-displaced fractures, Suturing of minor lacerations, Incision and Drainage
• Psychiatric:
  Uncomplicated adult, child/adolescent, and geriatric evaluation and management
• Diagnosis management of common industrial-related medical problems
• Ventilation management and airway support (various modes) for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation
• Evaluation/management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Central Line and Arterial Line procedures
• EKG interpretation
• Arthrocentesis, Lumbar puncture, Paracentesis
• Emergency Medicine related procedures as appropriate

• Board Certification:
  Board Certified required; ABEM/ABOEM with ATLS if applicable
• Active MI license at time of clear (no IMLC); local provider preferred
• CPR/ACLS/PALS required
• ATLS required if provider is ABEM or ABOEM; FM/IM providers should have both ATLCS
• Clean background for credentialing
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ED experience (FM/IM accepted)
• Must submit rates at time of name clear; rate cap $400/hour
• Exact availability from listed dates required
• Certification: ACLS, BLS, PALS, with ATLS where applicable
• Local candidate; no exceptions

• Site uses Doc Time for clock in/out; no timesheets approved
• Orientation: 1/2 hourly rate for training

  No flights; travel in line with McLaren/AHSA Travel Policy; lodging not booked via third-party sites
• Tax exempt status:
  McLaren; taxes on lodging not reimbursed
