Nurse Practitioner

Overview

Provides and collaborates with psychiatrist to complete psychiatric assessment and evaluation of clients served by diverse behavioral health programs. Administers and collaborates with psychiatrist relative to medication management for clients served by diverse behavioral health programs. This includes the review and monitoring of client medication plans. Prescriber who is experienced and competent to prescribe medications under the delegations of an MD.

Implements consultation to medical and behavioral health staff relative to client care, treatment planning, and program placement. Participates with psychiatrist in the provision of crisis evaluation and medication review to avoid hospitalization.

• Provide psychiatric assessments and evaluations for clients in diverse behavioral health programs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists on medication management and monitoring of medication plans.
• Offer consultation to medical and behavioral health staff regarding client care, treatment planning, and program placement.
• Participate in crisis evaluation and medication reviews to avoid hospitalization.
