Locum Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Michigan.

  July 20: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, July 25: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, July 26:
  Shift TBD, August 10 [night shift all August], August 16, August 17, August 24, August 29, August 31, September [Approximately 8 shifts anticipated (primarily nights)]
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Annual ED Volume: 13,800 visits
• Average Daily Volume: 32-50 patients
• Total ED Beds: 10
• Trauma Designation:
  Level IV
• Fast Track:
  No
• 55% of hospital admissions originate from the ED
• 6.4% of ED patients are admitted
• Fewer than 7 patient transfers per 24-hour period
• Primary referral center:
  Approximately 20 miles away
• One APP works alongside the ED attending from 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Locum physician will provide supervision of APP during overlapping hours
• Clinical responsibilities:
  Respond to hospital codes as needed. Interpret EKGs; cardiology provides final review. Admission orders handled by admitting physicians
• OB patients are stabilized and transferred.
• Available Services:
  Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray), Laboratory, Blood Bank (AABB Certified), Operating Room, Anesthesia
• Available Consultants:
  Radiology, Critical Care/Intensivist, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Urology, Psychiatry
• EMR:
  Epic
• Certification Requirements: BC ABEM or AOBEM, Active MI License, ACLS, ATLS
• Credentialing timeframe:
  Emergency credentialing available;
  Provider needed for first shift on July 20
• $1000 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
