Lead Toddler Teacher

We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Lake Orion team.

As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you have responsibility for day-to-day classroom activities with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience for young children utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

• Status:
  Regular, full-time (40 hours/week)
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday (7:30am-4:30pm)
• Pay rate- $15-$20/hour (based on certification or degree and years of experience)
• Location:
  
  Onsite, Lake Orion, MI

• At minimum, CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child-related field preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in a toddler classroom required
• CPR Certification
• Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers

• Ensures overall safety of children
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
• Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
• Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
• Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
• Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
• Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
• Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
• Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
