Educational Assistant

Clara Bolen Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about supporting students' educational experiences and fostering a positive learning environment. The Educational Assistant will work closely with teachers and staff to provide individualized support to students, assist in classroom management, and contribute to the overall development of each child.

• Assist teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, catering to diverse learning needs.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Assist with classroom management, including maintaining order and supporting students in following school rules.
• Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the learning and development of students.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators.
• Basic proficiency in technology and willingness to learn new educational software and tools.
• Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus but not mandatory.
