Elementary Lunch & Recess Paraprofessional

LOCATION:

East Leroy Elementary School

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal

PAY:
Per Athens Educational Support Personnel Association Master Agreement

HOURS:

Approximately 11:15 A.M.

- 1:20 P.M. on full days of school

• Strong desire to work with elementary school aged students
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred

• Provide active supervision of elementary-aged students at lunch and recess times.
• Support positive student behavior using appropriate and approved intervention techniques.
• Direct movements of student groups to and from the cafeteria, playground and classrooms in a safe and orderly manner.
• Report accidents to the elementary office in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate in a positive manner with children and other staff members.
• Willingness and ability to work as a cooperative team member.
• Willingness to respect school confidentiality policies regarding students and their families.
• Adhere to all district and board of education policies and procedures.
