The Hastings Area School System seeks a candidate for an LRE para position under the HESPA agreement to work with students in the Level III program.
Duties may include (but are not limited to):- Provide academic support to students with IEPs within the general education setting.
- Reinforce teacher-directed instruction through small-group or individualized support.
- Support implementation of accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs.
- Collect data on student progress toward goals as directed by the special education teacher.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and reinforcement systems as directed.
- Assist students in developing self-regulation, communication, and social-emotional skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
- Experience working with children, especially students with disabilities, preferred.
- Ability to follow instructional plans, collect data, and support student needs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
