• Build relationships with new and existing clients.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for a variety of clients.
• Understand market needs and trends to identify opportunities to win work.
• Maintain close relationships with clients throughout project development and after completion.
• Hire, manage, mentor, and collaborate with staff to foster a positive team environment.
• Maintain understanding of regulatory programs, funding opportunities, design standards, and procedures through continuing education and professional associations.
• Represent SEH with local governments, municipalities, and other agencies at project and public meetings.
• Respond to RFQs and prepare project approaches, scopes, and fees.
• Present proposals to clients, interview for projects, and select project teams.
• Determine major project design decisions in conjunction with clients.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or Michigan.
• Experience in design, construction, and project management of municipal infrastructure and/or land development projects.
• Experience in proposal writing and client management; ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.
• Must be located in Michigan and able to travel for client meetings as needed.

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of civil engineering experience.
• Located in western Michigan or northern Indiana.
• Experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and mentoring junior staff.
• Current affiliation with local, state, or national Civil Engineering societies and associations.
