Senior Civil Engineer / Client Manager at SEH

- Build relationships with new and existing clients.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for a variety of clients.
- Understand market needs and trends to identify opportunities to win work.
- Maintain close relationships with clients throughout project development and after completion.
- Hire, manage, mentor, and collaborate with staff to foster a positive team environment.
- Maintain understanding of regulatory programs, funding opportunities, design standards, and procedures through continuing education and professional associations.
- Represent SEH with local governments, municipalities, and other agencies at project and public meetings.
- Respond to RFQs and prepare project approaches, scopes, and fees.
- Present proposals to clients, interview for projects, and select project teams.
- Determine major project design decisions in conjunction with clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or Michigan.
- Experience in design, construction, and project management of municipal infrastructure and/or land development projects.
- Experience in proposal writing and client management; ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals.
- Must be located in Michigan and able to travel for client meetings as needed.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of civil engineering experience.
- Located in western Michigan or northern Indiana.
- Experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and mentoring junior staff.
- Current affiliation with local, state, or national Civil Engineering societies and associations.

Compensation and BenefitsBase compensation is expected to be in the range of $140,000 to $165,000 based on skill set and experience. Benefits are described in SEH Hiring Journey. We are committed to equal employment opportunity for all applicants.
